World 7 wonders:
There are over 200 existing monuments in the earth having some amazing skills and unique in their categories. Swiss corporation New7Wonders Foundation started a survey in the year 2001 to choose 7 most amazing wonders of the world and among those 200 existing monuments. After five years, 21 final wonders were chosen and announced on 1st Jan 2006. Finally, with a world wide voting system the 7 new wonders of the world were selected and announced in 7th July 2007. The announcement place was Lisbon (Portugal). The great pyramid of Giza was not in the list as it’s the oldest monument of the world and should give a special honor. Great pyramid of Giza was announced as Honorary Candidate or ancient wonder of the world.

Taj Mahal:
Situated in Agra, the Taj Mahal was build by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan for the memory of his queen Mumtaz Mahal. Taj Mahal was build around 1632–1653 AD and world wide known as the symbol of love. With an elevation of 171m (561 ft), the Taj Mahal was build completely with white marble. This is really a masterpiece monument and in other words can be termed as the jewel of art in India.
Great Wall of China:
The Great Wall of China is situated at the northern border of China is a series of reinforcement made from stones and bricks. This was build around 220–206 BC by the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang. The Great Wall of China covers almost the northern border of China from east to west with a length around 21,196 km (13,171 mi).
Petra:
Petra is otherwise called as the symbol of Jordan and is one among the most visited tourist site in the world. Petra is situated at the capital city of Nabataeans (Arab) and builds around 312 BC. With an elevation of 810 m (2,657 ft) it lies in the slope of Mount Hor. Petra was chosen by the Smithsonian Magazine as one of the "28 Places to See before You Die.
Christ the Redeemer:
Christ the Redeemer is a statue of Lord Jesus situated at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This statue is 30.1 meter (99 ft) tall, not including its 9.5 meter (31 ft) pedestal, and 30 meter (98 ft) wide and weights 635 tons. The Christ the Redeemer was constructed between 1922 and 1931 and become an iconic symbol for Brazil.
Machu Picchu:
Machu Picchu is located in the Cusco Region of Peru, South America in a height of 2,430M above the sea level. Machu Picchu was built as an estate for the Inca ruler Pachacuti (1438–1472).
Chichen Itza:
The Chichen Itza was build around 600 AD and is located in the eastern portion of Yucatán state in Mexico. The ruins of Chichen Itza are federal assets, and the site’s is maintained by Mexico’s Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia (National Institute of Anthropology and History). The land under the monuments had been privately owned until 29 March 2010, when it was purchased by the state of Yucatán.
Colosseum:
Colosseum is situated at the center of the city of Rome (Italy). The construction of Colosseum started in 72 AD under the emperor Vespasian and was completed in 80 AD under the emperor Titus. It is elliptical in plan and is 189 meters long and 156 meters wide, with a base area of 6 acres (24,000 m2). The height of the outer wall is 48 meters with a seating capacity of 50,000.
